This has been a recurring concern for some individuals - the amount of funds required in their personal bank accounts.
Today, I will provide a comprehensive explanation for everyone. I have previously addressed this issue with certain members, and I am reiterating it now for the benefit of all. Typically, an applicant needs around €50 per day. However, is this amount adequate?
Not necessarily.
It is important to carefully review and understand the reason for visa refusal - particularly point #4:
"You have not provided sufficient evidence of sufficient means of subsistence for the duration of intended stay OR for the return to the country of origin or residence."
Let's remove this specific clause here: OR for the return to the country of origin or residence.
It is important to note that having 50 euros per day for the duration of your stay may not be sufficient.
You must also demonstrate that you have enough funds to support yourself upon returning to your country of residence. In essence, applicants should have adequate funds both during and after their stay, regardless of whether all the money is used or not.
To calculate the required amount, use the following formula:
50€ per day × duration of stay × 2
It is recommended to round off the euro to peso conversion.
For instance, if the highest conversion rate is 60 pesos for 1 euro,
the calculation would be:
50 × 60 = 2,760 pesos per day
For a complete duration of stay, the total amount would be:
2,760 (per day) × 60 (number of days) = 165,600 pesos
To ensure that you have enough funds for the entirety of your stay and upon return, multiply this total by 2:
165,600 × 2 = 331,200 pesos in total.
The sum required for submission to the embassy is as outlined below. It is important to understand that this is merely an approximation and should not be the sole basis for reliance. Apart from having adequate funds, applicants must also have a job or own a business to exhibit a steady income. For Finland visa applications, sponsorship is not permissible unless there are substantial funds available or strong connections like employment or business ownership. This condition is especially crucial for individuals traveling to visit their boyfriend, fiancé or even spouse.
